Our parent school is Alpha Academy, located in Columbia, Maryland. In addition to their teaching twice a week throughout the year and coaching at tournaments all around the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, they provide us with connections to the Howard County, especially including to the League of Korean Americans. They are also the coaches of our sister schools UMBC Taekwondo and Naval Academy Taekwondo Team.
HST practices World Taekwondo (WT) style sparring and poomsae. Kukkiwon is the headquarters of the World Taekwondo and is located in Seoul, Korea. The World Taekwondo rules and regulations are the leading form of taekwondo and are used during the Olympic Games.

Hopkins Sport Taekwondo is a yearly member of the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference, which hosts tournaments throughout the year at MIT, Cornell, Brown, Princeton, and the University of Vermont. Each tournament boasts around 350 collegiate competitors in sparring and poomsae.
